Ladies and Gentlemen, Children of all ages, welcome to this week's HastingsNow.com/local-10 rundown, presented by Local Pigeon. Now, I have to say, there's a lot of exciting things happening in our quaint little town of Hastings, Minnesota. So let's get to it!

In the top spot this week, we have the Hastings Wrestling Club, flexing their muscles and showing us that not all heroes wear capes; some wear wrestling singlets. They had a fantastic turnout for their first summer youth practice, and the best part? It's free of charge! That's right, folks, you can drop your little tykes off at the club the 22nd and 27th of June, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. So, if you're looking to get some peace and quiet at home, you know where to go.

Coming in at number two is the Spiral Summer Theater Camp. This isn't just any theater camp, folks. This is a camp with a cast of characters that could rival the Avengers. There are still a few spots left in each camp. So, hurry and sign your kiddo up for an unforgettable summer experience at www.spiraltheatercamp.com/registration.

Now, if you've ever dreamt of being in a band, you're in luck! The St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish is looking for a band teacher for their 5th to 8th grade. The job includes providing individual lessons and two group sessions per week. You can apply at seas-school.org/job-openings. Just think, you could be the one molding the next Beatles!

But, before you go applying for that job, remember that most Dakota County buildings, including libraries and service and license centers, will be closed on Monday, June 19th in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. So, mark your calendars!

If you're anything like me, you're always on the hunt for good food. And boy, do we have some news for you. The Spiral Food Co-op has updated their deli menu with options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Open from Monday to Friday, 11am-2pm, it's the perfect spot for a quick and healthy lunch.

Now, here's something to really strike a chord! The City of Hastings is celebrating MAKE MUSIC DAY on June 21st. From 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, you can enjoy music trivia, gift card giveaways, food trucks, and over 16 musicians & bands donating their time in celebration of music. You can check out the full lineup at www.hastingsmn.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/11335/638215940596370000. And remember, this isn't just a Hastings thing. Make Music Day is celebrated in over 1,000 cities in 120 countries around the world!

In seventh place, we have the Lock And Dam Eatery, introducing a new concoction this weekend: FROZEN MOJITO LEMONADE. It's the perfect way to beat the summer heat. Just don't get too disappointed if you were looking forward to their froze and sangria, those are on back order until Wednesday.

So you've learned French to order that croissant, but what about communicating with those who use American Sign Language? Well, you're in luck! Hastings Community Education is offering classes in American Sign Language, taught by none other than the lovely Angela. Starting in June, these classes are open to anyone aged 15 and up, held at the Tilden Community Center. Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, they've got you covered with a morning or evening option. The classes meet four times throughout June and July, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to master this beautiful language. Now, how do you sign 'croissant'?

The Busted Nut Bar & Grill is on the lookout for new team members! They're currently taking applications for cooks and dishwashers. Don't worry if you lack experience, they're more than willing to train you. So, if you're a high-energy, team-oriented individual who can multitaskand handle high volume situations, this could be the job for you!

Finally, rounding out our list at number 10 is the fan-favorite Little Rippers Mountain Bike Camp. Now, don't let the name fool you, this is no ordinary bike camp. Here, your young ones will move beyond the pavement and onto the trail, learning the basics of mountain biking and setting them up for a lifetime of fun on two wheels. Just make sure they've graduated from training wheels, because these trails are not for the faint of heart! The camp is open to kids aged 5 to 9 and runs from 9 AM to 12 PM on June 14-16, and 1 PM to 4 PM on June 19-21.

Well, there you have it, Hastings, the top ten happenings in our charming corner of the world. Whether you're a wrestling whiz, a budding thespian, a mountain biking maven, or someone who just enjoys a good frozen mojito lemonade, there's something for everyone in our bustling town. As your honorary Pigeon news anchor, I'll be back next week with more updates. But for now, get out there and enjoy all that Hastings has to offer. Remember, life is like a bicycle, to keep your balance you must keep moving. And in the immortal words of Mark Twain, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." So, let's get started, Hastings!
