A brief conversation. One thoughtful written update.
Tell us what’s happening, what you’re working on, or something you wish people understood. We turn a short conversation into a clear, personal update you can share.
Each month includes:
One phone or video conversation of up to 15 minutes, with a written or voice-note option.
One approximately 150–250-word update, based on the information you provide, with one suitable photo you have permission to share.
With your approval, publication on HastingsNow and a ready-to-share caption for your own channels.
A good fit for: A team introduction, seasonal update, useful announcement, or answer to a common question.
Original photography, video production, and additional research are not included.

We come to you, listen, and capture the people and details behind your work. Together, we choose a story and the format that will help tell it.
Each month includes:
One on-site visit of up to 45 minutes.
One edited 30–90-second video or a photo story with 8–12 selected, edited photographs.
A short written introduction and caption, plus—with your approval—a HastingsNow story page and one coordinated share on HastingsNow’s Facebook and Instagram.
You also receive the finished material for agreed reuse on your website and organic social channels.

Story + Insight

An on-site story. A deeper understanding.
Some stories benefit from more time and context. We combine an on-site visual story with a researched written feature built around one useful question or topic.
Each month includes:
One on-site visit of up to 75 minutes.
One edited 30–90-second video or a photo story with 8–12 selected, edited photographs.
One researched written feature, generally 600–1,000 words, drawing on your interview and relevant supporting sources.
With your approval, we publish the visual story and written feature together on HastingsNow and share the feature on HastingsNow’s Facebook and Instagram. You receive the finished material for agreed reuse on your own channels.
We agree on the topic and research scope before beginning. The article uses clear headings, source links, and practical answers—not unnecessary jargon.
A good fit for: Explaining your approach, exploring a local question, or helping people understand an important part of your work.
Included in every plan: An agreed story direction, one consolidated creative revision, and review before publication of your commissioned story.
Monthly plans renew automatically until canceled. Cancel before your next billing date to stop future charges. Prepaid and project bookings have separate terms, shared before payment.
On-site prices apply to Hastings, Minnesota. Travel elsewhere and any additional work are agreed and priced in advance. Applicable taxes are shown before payment.

We agree on the four production windows together. This is one story each season—not monthly production.

For an opening, anniversary, celebration, or community gathering, we help you turn a focused part of the occasion into a finished story.
The starting package includes one coverage window of up to 45 minutes and the same finished work and sharing scope as a Story Visit.
Full-event coverage, longer filming, multiple finished pieces, and livestreaming are quoted separately. We confirm the date, coverage, deliverables, and total price before booking.
Already a Story Visit subscriber? An event can replace your scheduled visit when the date is available and the work fits your plan.
Personal Story Visit
$495 per story
For a memory, a milestone, or someone you love.

Using the same 45-minute visit and visual-production scope as Story Visit, we help you create a short video or photo story for public sharing or private keeping.
Public use requires your permission. Longer interviews, extensive family archives, and larger documentary projects are quoted separately.

Your price covers the agreed combination of preparation, conversation or on-site production, editing, research where included, coordination, and publishing.
The visit or call is one part of the work. The package also includes turning what we gather into the finished story described in your plan.

Yes. A one-time Story Visit is $495. Quarterly and annual payment arrangements are also available for ongoing work.
Storytelling frequency and payment frequency are separate. For example, four seasonal Story Visits cost $1,980 for the year. Twelve monthly Story Visits cost $5,940 for the year.
Your agreement states the number of stories, production schedule, payment schedule, and cancellation and refund terms before you purchase. Prepaid annual packages cover a defined year and do not renew automatically.

Yes. For commissioned work, we ask you to review the finished story before its first publication. Each plan includes one consolidated round of creative revisions within the agreed scope.
Factual corrections are handled separately from creative revision limits.
Client approval applies to the commissioned project; it does not provide control over HastingsNow’s independent editorial coverage.

We agree on production, review, delivery, and publication dates before booking. Time-sensitive event work and rush requests need to be discussed in advance.
Your review is part of the schedule. We do not treat silence as permission to publish.

Yes. You receive the finished work with agreed permissions for your website and organic social channels, or for personal use.
We identify any third-party restrictions before you approve the project. Raw footage, editable project files, and paid-ad usage are separately scoped.

Additional visits, longer coverage, extra finished pieces, expanded research, and revisions beyond the agreed scope are priced before we begin that work.
These plans do not include full social-media account management, advertising spend, website development, or unlimited production.

We may use AI to assist with transcription, research, organization, drafting, editing, and other production tasks. Ashley and Peter review the finished work and remain responsible for it.
We identify material AI-generated elements. We do not invent quotations or present generated scenes as documentary recordings of something that happened.

We commit to the agreed work and publishing arrangements.
We do not promise a particular number of views, inquiries, sales, search rankings, or appearances in AI answers. We would rather set clear expectations and evaluate the work honestly with you.

You keep the finished files and the reuse permissions specified in your agreement. Ending a subscription does not automatically remove previously published work.
Any hosting, retention, removal, or privacy arrangements are agreed in advance. Permanent hosting and archival preservation are not included unless specifically arranged.
