Local Tip

Tip of the Day: Icicles on select areas of your gutters are usually explainable. Generally, ice on roofs and gutters is caused by heat loss due to a lack of insulation. In this case, the ice is forming because of the heat produced by a bathroom vent stack.

The Fix: Insulation may need to be checked out and/or improved. In the meantime, the snow can be roof-raked off the roof to help lessen the amount of melting snow that will turn into ice.
