Hey Hastings, Ready for an Epic Day Trip?
Clear your calendars for August 11th, 2025, because we’re packing our bags, hitting the road, and heading over to the charming community of Red Wing, Minnesota—just a short drive from Hastings. We’re inviting YOU, our beloved neighbors, business owners, civic leaders, and curious community members, to join the HastingsNow.com team as we take our Local Exchange project to the next level.
If you’ve been keeping up, you know the Local Exchange is all about building authentic bridges between neighboring cities, swapping stories, and forging relationships that help all of us thrive. On August 11th, from 9 am to 5 pm, we’ll be meeting with Red Wing’s local media personalities, government officials, business leaders, and community heroes. Trust us: this will be one for the memory books.
What’s the Plan?
9:00 AM – We’ll roll into Red Wing, camera in tow, and start exploring the heart of this beautiful town. We’ll interview local artists, chat with city hall reps, and shine a spotlight on the businesses that keep Red Wing buzzing.
Midday – Picture this: a friendly conversation at a cozy Red Wing café, enjoying their local treats, and sharing a few laughs with city leaders. We’ll also snap photos, record short video segments, and gather stories straight from the folks who know Red Wing best.
Afternoon – We’ll continue meeting with local brands, taking tours of shops, and capturing interviews. We’re thrilled to capture our Hastings ambassadors with Red Wing public figures and share the stories.
5:00 PM – We pack up and head home, full of fresh stories and ideas that we can’t wait to share back on HastingsNow.com. After all, part of the fun is bringing these adventures back to Hastings to spark conversations, inspire new ventures, and boost both communities online.
