Hastings' "Quaint & Quirky": Showcasing the Unseen Talents of Creator's Market
Today, we're getting behind-the-scenes of our beloved downtown gem: Quaint & Quirky, piloted by the indefatigable Jodi Norgaarden.
Now, what’s brewing in our quiet town? Rivertown Days! But it's not the usual hullabaloo. We have an artful twist that's as uniquely Minnesota as a lakeside loon serenade at sunset. Ladies and gentlemen, the 'Creator’s Market' is hitting town this Saturday, July 22nd, smack-dab in the middle of our Rivertown shenanigans.
So, what's the spirit of this event, you ask? Five years on, Quaint & Quirky is no quitter. Each year, they've showcased local artists, giving them the limelight they truly deserve. This year, we've got 17 - count 'em, SEVENTEEN - artists ready to splash some color and creativity onto 2nd Street. And who are they? Just some 'quaint and quirky' folks from our neighborhood. 15 of them right from the Q&Q coven, plus a couple more local Picassos to boot.
This isn't just about putting on a show folks; it's about the identity of Hastings. Our town's teeming with talent – artists just an hour away who make everything from candy to jewelry to wall art. Yeah, you heard right – ARTSY CANDY! And this, my friends, is exactly what Quaint & Quirky is all about. Sharing our community, our talents, our identity.
Surprisingly, many folks still don’t know Quaint & Quirky. (Can you believe that? Neither can I!) But every event, every introduction, is a step towards enlightening more people about this little treasure trove nestled downtown. Their mission is to evolve with and for Hastings, supporting us every step of the way.
So how does this event fit into our local scene? Listen, Hastings is artsy. We’re music lovers. We revel in the charm of our river. Our Creator's Market isn't an alien invasion; it’s an extension of who we are, what we love.
Promotion? Oh, they've got it covered. From Rivertown Days to the library, social media to local businesses, Quaint & Quirky is leaving no stone unturned to spread the word. Because, folks, they’re not just 'trying' to tell people about the amazing businesses in the area. They're succeeding. One unique idea at a time.
So, dear Hastings, brace yourself for the artful onslaught. Get ready to be wowed by the books, the jewelry, the pottery, and the (oh, so delectable) candy. Quaint & Quirky is coming to Rivertown Days, and they're bringing the best of Minnesota and Wisconsin with them. Voting with your dollars never felt so artsy!
To wrap it up in Jodi’s words, it's not just what they're trying to do; it's what they are doing. And let me tell you, they're doing it spectacularly. See you downtown, folks.
PS: Don't forget to share this piece of artsy news with your friends. Let's make Our Creator's Market the talk of the town!
