Hello, Hastings! We are bringing you the top ten highlights of what's happening in our vibrant community. Get ready to mark your calendars, sample mouth-watering BBQ sauces, and more. So, sit back, relax, and let's dive into the stories that make our community uniquely ours.

First up, Lone Oak Winery has announced a grand opening that you simply cannot miss! Yes, folks, they've added an extra weekend just to make sure you can make it out for a tasting. A toast to new beginnings at 22598 Inga Ave, from June 16-18, noon to 6 each day. See you there!

Next, our friends at Spiral Food Co-op have a treat that'll tantalize your taste buds. Triple Crown BBQ sauce is not only a favorite among the co-op's staff, but it's also won three blue ribbons at the MN state fair. Grab a bottle and #supportlocal.

Budding dancers, it's time to put on your dancing shoes! Just For Kix - Hastings, MN invites you to their first dance camp of the summer. It's not just about learning a new dance, but also playing games, making crafts, and having tons of fun, all under a magical Disney theme. Register by Tuesday, June 13th, and choose from their morning or evening sessions. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

Meanwhile, the Dakota County Sheriff's Office is sharing some helpful tips for those embarking on a long weekend getaway. Adjust your mirrors, check your trailer lights, and allow plenty of space between you and other motorists. Safety first, folks!

Now, to all the theater enthusiasts, Black Dirt Theater has answered your call. They've launched a new merch store, in partnership with Nine Eagles Promotions, stocked with apparel, accessories, and more. Perfect for flaunting your love for local arts.

In the heartwarming Emotional Rescue post, meet Hero, the dog with an indomitable spirit. Despite being paralyzed, Hero's determination and the love from his foster family have seen him bounding back on his four paws. A standing ovation to Hero for his bravery!

On the customization front, You Name It - Custom Gifts is showcasing recent projects, from Hastings Raiders Baseball sweatshirts to personalized backpacks. If you can name it, they can make it!

Our HYAA Youth Baseball and Softball stars have been shining bright! Kudos to the Hastings 10U Blue team for an impressive 2nd place finish at the Rosemount Shamrock Shakedown tournament. But the celebrations don't stop there, the 14UAA team triumphed over Rochester with a whopping 18-3 victory in the Championship game, remaining undefeated for the weekend! And let's not forget the 14u Blue Softball team, who finished as runner-ups in the Oriole Opener in St. Louis Park. A big congratulations to all!
