We're here to celebrate the crème de la crème of Hastings, Minnesota, where the community spirit is as strong as the coffee at 2nd Street Depot Bar & Grill. So, let's dive in!

Hastings Family Service: Ah, the unsung heroes of back-to-school season. They've provided 275 students with new school supplies and 85 students with free clothing items. That's right, folks, they're not just raising the bar, they're providing the pencils to write on it!

Spiral Food Co-op: Quinn turned 7 and got to pick anything she wanted at the Co-op. Cantaloupe, local apples, and chocolate cookies! Ah, to be 7 again, when your biggest worry is whether to eat the chocolate or the cookies first.

2nd Street Depot Bar & Grill: Oktoberfest Pub Crawl, anyone? Six bars, one night, and a Stein Holding Contest for Pride and Prizes. It's like the Olympics but for people who think lifting a beer is a sport. And it is. It really is.

Pine Harbor Christian Academy: Morning meetings in Mrs. Ke's 1st-grade class are the stuff of legends. They greet, they share, they play. It's like a corporate board meeting but with less backstabbing and more finger painting.

El Original Mexican Restaurant: Margaritas and delicious food. Need I say more? No, I don't. But I will. Because Margaritas. And delicious food.

City of Hastings Government: Bike the Hastings 10-mile loop led by a National Park Ranger & Hastings Parks Staff. It's like a guided tour, but you provide the horsepower. Or leg power. You get what I mean.

Rivertown Eye Care: Runners, listen up! They've got sunglasses that are so advanced, they practically run the race for you. Okay, not really, but they do protect your eyes while you're out there breaking personal records.

Ripe Radish Farm: Medicinal herb class, anyone? Learn to identify healthy weeds, herbs, and plants, and make tinctures for your future health needs. It's like a DIY pharmacy, but way more legal.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School: First day of preschool was a blast! They're already setting the bar high for the rest of the school year. #SEASPROUD indeed!

Hastings Public Schools: A warm welcome to the 9th-grade students and a massive shout-out to the LINK Crew for making the first day extra special. Because nothing says "Welcome to High School" like a group of upperclassmen showing you the ropes.

And there you have it, folks! The LOCAL 10, where the stories are as diverse as the people who make up this great community. Whether you're biking, drinking, learning, or just trying to get through first grade, Hastings has got something for you. So, until next week, keep it classy, keep it local, and keep it Hastings!
