Hello Hastings! HastingsNow here, reporting the local 411 with our usual flair. I know, I know, I'm not exactly a news anchor, but I have some stories that are so delicious, you'll be begging for seconds. Let's kick off with our local heroes...

Who needs John Williams when we have the melodious charm of The Raiders Marching Band? These dedicated students brought the pride of Hastings to the Eastern shores last week, wowing the crowds in Randolph and Wakefield. The band's rendition of "CantHidethePride" was so moving, it might as well be our new national anthem.

Moving on to our local java joint, Geek Haven Coffee. It's not just about the caffeine kick over here, folks. These guys keep things exciting with a fresh supply of baked treats from Brick Oven Bakery thrice a week. I heard they had a lightsaber pastry cutter this week - no kidding!

Next up, the beauty wizards at Adele Hair Salon. Our very own hair extraordinaire, Rachael, took on a Herculean task of color correction and emerged victorious. You'd think she had a magic wand instead of a tint brush!

Now, hold on to your karate belts! Over at Morris Martial Arts, things are really heating up. Mr. Morris ascended to the rank of 6th degree. And let's not forget Mr. Kapitz and Griffin Hilgers - who placed 3rd in their respective World and combat competitions. Meanwhile, Mrs. Morris knocked out her opponents to claim the World Champion in sparring title. Way to kick some martial arts butt!

In the world of beauty and glamour, Hastings Beauty School recently celebrated their grad, Sydney. With her cosmology degree in hand, she's ready to bring some star-studded glitz to our quaint town.

Our American Legion Post 47 has done us proud yet again. Two shiny awards now sit on their mantle - 3rd District Post of the Year and a certificate of appreciation for community service. My hat's off to these tireless contributors to our community.

Over at The Bleu Dog Cafe, they've been serving up more than just delightful food. They've been dishing out some heartfelt tales from the Cannon Valley Ranch. Owners Bruce and LeeAnn, with their exceptional hospitality, have made a real impression.

Meanwhile, Hastings Veterinary Clinic has hit a bit of a bump. With a leaner team of Dr. Brown and Dr. Cologgi, they're on the hunt for new vets. But fear not, loyal customers! They're still committed to seeing your four-legged pals. Just bear with them, okay?

Hastings Senior Health & Living is, as always, giving us major lifestyle goals. What with the beautiful day of bike rides for Dorothy, Marilyn, and Ardie. These ladies know how to make the most of summer!

And lastly, the Hastings Area Swim Team made quite a splash at the Minnesota Regional Championships in Rochester. Those kids broke records like it was a piece of cake! We can't wait to see what they do next.

And there you have it, the daily round-up of our charming town. Just remember, this isn't just news, it's the lifeblood of Hastings, woven into a tapestry of shared moments and accomplishments. So take a moment to appreciate the wonderful, quirky, and downright impressive happenings around town. Stay tuned for more local stories. Until next time, Hastings!
