As warm weather approaches, our community of Hastings, Minnesota is coming alive with a variety of events and activities that cater to all interests. In our latest LOCAL 10 update, we share exciting highlights from our vibrant community.

Firstly, we'd like to extend our congratulations to the retiring teachers from Education Minnesota/Hastings, who collectively have contributed over 265 years of teaching experience to our community. Their dedication to the education of our children is deeply appreciated and will be missed.

For those looking to give the gift of wellness and relaxation, Pure Serenity Wellness Center has partnered with Mary Caturia Esthetician from About Face to offer a special Mother’s Day package. The package, valued at $200, includes a 60-minute massage, a facial, and two salt room sessions in Pure Serenity's beautiful Salt and Selenite Sanctuary.

Anytime Fitness Hastings is hosting FREE Community Workouts at Jaycee Park every Saturday in May. These hour-long sessions are open to all, and are a great way to stay active and meet new people in a supportive and motivating environment. Don't forget to bring your own towel or yoga mat!

Celebrating success in the arts, our Just For Kix - Hastings, MN dance teams had an impressive showing at the recent nationals competition in Rochester, MN. With multiple teams earning High Gold and Platinum rankings, we're incredibly proud of our dancers for representing Hastings so well.

As for food and drink, Red Wing Brewery has announced the return of their fan-favorite Jalapeño Popper Pizza as the pizza of the month for May. They recommend pairing it with their Jordan Creek IPA for a tasty meal.

Hastings Tennis is opening registration for its Summer 2023 USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT). This program combines practice and match play, fostering skill development, fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. The sign-up deadline is May 26, 2023.

Couples Night at Emerald Greens Golf Course kicks off on Sunday, May 7th, and will continue every Sunday night for the rest of the season. The two-person scramble format is open to couples only, and tee-offs start after 5 pm each week.

The City of Hastings Government has opened registration for their Safety Camp for 3rd - 5th graders. The camp, scheduled for June 27th, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and includes a range of activities designed to educate and engage children in learning about safety.

El Original Mexican Restaurant has announced their new summer service hours. You can enjoy their delicious Mexican cuisine late into the evening, with closing times at 10:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 11:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Finally, we're thrilled to see the Hastings Raiders Lacrosse team continuing to impress, with a recent highlight reel goal scored by Junior Ryan Clemens.
